An estimated 13% of families in Orange County face food insecurity, including more than 40,000 people in Anaheim alone. In response, JMh launched the Choice Market Truck (CMT) in September 2023 through support from the Samueli Foundation, creating a mobile, choice-based food market that brings dignity and accessibility directly to underserved neighborhoods. Serving 34 locations across Anaheim and reaching an average of 345 families (nearly 1,000 individuals) each week, the CMT provides fresh produce, dairy, meat, and culturally relevant groceries in a welcoming and familiar environment. By allowing families to choose foods that meet their needs, the program reduces stigma while strengthening community trust. 

In partnership with Anaheim’s Mobile Family Resource Center, the CMT also connects residents to critical services including housing, healthcare, and employment support, helping families build long-term stability alongside immediate food security. THANKS!
